Robs camera setup

I use the Sony DSC P-10 Cyber-shot 5MP digital camera with the MPKPHA Marine Pack housing. Most of the photos on this site were taken with the P-1, P-9, and the P-10 with some Nikonos V shots. I have the conversion lens adapter ring (Sea&Sea part # 58101) which snaps over the outer rubber lens cap on the housing allowing the use of the Sea and Sea conversion lens' (this ring will fit the P-9 marine pack also). The 20mm Motor Marine II lens (Sea&Sea part # 03020) and the 2T Macro lens' (Sea&Sea part # 03040) work great. I recently added the Sea&Sea 3T Macro lens part# 03010. The internal flash is partially blocked by the 20mm lens but in most cases the lens sucks in so much light you wont need it but if you do the pictures tend to be partially exposed. I recently added a manual Sea and Sea YS90DX strobe with the fiber optic cable (Sea&Sea part # 50102) to sinc it with the internal flash. The cable mounts on the conversion lens adapter ring directly over the internal flash. The camera is operated in the forced flash mode and trips the strobe via the cable. To hold the two conversion lens' I added the lens caddy (Sea&Sea part # 03810) and mounted it on the tray handle. For the tray and arm setup I am using Ultra-light products which are expensive but top of the line and well worth it in a long run. The UK light Cannon I use for night dives and have mounted it on the tray to keep my hands free. I simply just turn it away from whatever I am shooting and let the strobe do its job. If you try to use both to take the shot the HID Light Cannon will alter the color of the picture making it to bright even with the supplied diffusers. The Cannon is a few hundred degrees to hot. The digital camera needs a little extra light to focus on occasion so to assist in this I mounted a spotting light (small Princton Tech flashlight) on the strobe with zip ties. The small light does not alter the picture like the HID and the strobe just drowns it out. Sea and Sea indicates in their instruction manual for the YS90 that the supplied diffuser cannot be used with the fiber optic cable. This is true but a sharp pair of scissors will change that. Just trim the entire edge off so you are left with only the center disk then place it over the strobe face and snap on your cap with the fiber optic cable attached. It holds it in place with no problem. The total cost for the setup was about $1900 excluding the camera.
